One Day
A/N: Before I get any flames, I need to tell you all this. This is for the goodness of D/G only! I know that this will never happen, and is extremely unbelievable. But every D/G shipper shouldn’t mind too much, as this is after all, just another way for Draco & Ginny to get together. Clear on that??? Great! Now we can get on to D/G goodness! (Or soon, anyway.)

"Oh Gin..." Harry whispered, "I’m so sorry...But you know that we can’t be together anymore. We fight all the time... Gin... It’s just not meant to be. I’m so so sorry, Gin..."
"No!" Ginny hissed, "don’t call me that, don’t you dare! After so long, after all we’ve been through together, you break my heart! Then you call me Gin... Don’t, okay, you don’t deserve to!" She heaved a breath, "Just... just get out! I don’t give a damn if I never see you again. I’m sick of all this. I’m not letting you hurt me anymore Harry Potter. Not like you always have, ignoring me for so long, and now you want to break my heart! Well, you should be happy, because you have! Get out of here, Harry Potter, and get out of my life!"
"Ginny..." Harry interrupted desperately, "please, just listen..."
"I said get out!" With one last forlorn look at Ginny, Harry walked away. And Ginny watched him go.
"One day..." she whispered, "all this time, it’s been little Ginny, just another Weasley, just Bill and Charlie’s sister, just Harry Potter’s best friend’s kid sister. One day, you’ll all going to regret treating me this way, ignoring me this way...One day..."

"Miss Ginny?" Virginia Weasley’s secretary asked tentatively, as her boss walked smartly into the room. Receiving a nod she went on, "Several owls for you today, including one from Mrs. Hermione Granger-Weasley, inviting you to Baby Quinn’s first birthday. Also, here’s one from Zonko’s, asking if you’d like to star in the advertisement of their newest product. Your brothers have also owled, asking if you’d help them with their promoting of Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. Witch Weekly asked for an interview..." She paused, thinking, "Oh! And there’s a visitor for you in the waiting room."
"Why didn’t they just owl?" Ginny questioned.
"I told him to Apparate back later, but he insisted on waiting, Miss."
"Thank you Starr," Ginny smiled at the other woman.
Ginny Weasley’s smile was famous. Ginny Weasley herself was famous. She was plastered on numerous covers of Witch Weekly, grinning brightly. She had broken Gilderoy Lockhart’s record, being seven times winner of the Witch Weekly Most-Charming-Smile Award. Oh yes, Ginny Weasley wasn’t another Weasley, she was the Virginia Weasley.
"I’ll see him now," she called as she walked in. "Send him in." She settled into her plush sofa.
Her father had shown her - a long time ago - a Muggle living room. It was to be sold. It’s original owner had been an insane wizard who bought it and filled it with Dart Art materials, all of which were hidden below a loose floorboard. It had been partially cleaned out, and a few sofas had been there. That was when her crazy obsession had begun. Her house was filled with them. She was particularly fond of the air ones. The ones that - when blown up - were small bubble type sofas, filled wwith air.
Ginny jumped up from her sofa again. It was no time to be relaxing. She might as well reply to Hermione about baby Quinn. She went to the fireplace and threw a pinch of powder into it. Hermione’s face appeared, though not looking as organized as she normally did. "Gin... Ginny! Oh! I didn’t think you’d get back so... Ron!"
Ginny stared at her flustered face questioningly while Hermione desperately tried to explain. "I... We..."
"Really! Don’t! I really don’t need to know about my brother’s and your antics! Keep it to yourself!" Ginny grinned widely and they both burst out laughing. "I was just meaning to tell you about Quinn."
"Gin, you are coming, aren’t you? The kids have been asking for their aunt Ginny lately. You haven’t been visiting much lately."
"Yeah... I’ll be there."
"Harry’ll be there..." Hermione’s voice trailed off and she gave Ginny a piercing look.
"Promise, no rows. I swear!" Hermione gave her another look and she opened her mouth in protest, "I promise, all attempts to kill and maul Harry will be suppressed. I know it’s been ages already. I tell you, I’m well over him." Hermione looked disbelievingly at her. "I am! It’s been... what? Ten years? I can be in the same room with him, you know. I’m over him, and maybe we’ll never be friends again, but I can live with him being around once in a while."
"Right Gin. Whenever did you figure all that lot out? See, I thought that after all the zillions of times we’ve had little chats, with you still as stubborn as ever, you’d never get it. But apparently, you have." Hermione paused for a moment, thinking about her words, then resumed her speech. " Look Gin, you probably have to go meet your adoring public. I need to go too. Maybe we can get together soon, so you can tell me all about your new plan to take the wizarding world by storm, and I’ll tell you what the kids are up to. And," she glanced behind Ginny, "you can tell me why the heck Draco Malfoy is standing in your office. See ya!" And with a wave, Hermione’s face disappeared from the fireplace. Only then did her words hit Ginny.
"Draco Malfoy..."
"Glad you know my name," A voice drawled behind her. "Maybe now that you’ve stopped the chit-chat with Granger there, we can talk business."
