Draco tossed and turned in his four-poster trying to find a comfortable position. 'This in not working,' he thought. He had spent the last hour trying to get back to sleep and nothing he had tried yet had worked. Sitting up he punched his pillow in frustration. Finally deciding it was hopeless he got up quietly and dressed in the dark, pocketing his wand as he did so. 'Maybe a short walk outside will help,' he thought, 'I've tried everything else anyway.' He walked quietly across the room and slipped out the door of the dorm.

Draco made his way through the darkened castle carefully; he didn't want to run into Mrs. Norris, or worse: Filch. 'I'd probably get detention until next year if I get caught,' he thought darkly. Hearing some noise up ahead, he plastered himself against the wall. 'Please don't be Filch, please don't be Filch,' he thought desperately. This was not his day. He could see the faint glow of the lantern Filch carried coming his way. Draco held his breath and plastered himself against the wall almost trying to melt into it. Just as the glow of Filch's lantern started to reach his hiding spot there was a tremendous crash in a far corridor. "Peeves!" Filch yelled, and to Draco's immense relief, he ran in the other dirrection trying to catch the poltergeist in action.

Draco breathed a sigh of relief, he made it out of the castle and on to the grounds with no further close calls. Taking a deep breath of the crisp night air he noticed that the full moon was currently hiding behind some clouds. Slowly he made his way towards the lake. 'Maybe once around the lake will help,' he thought. He started his slow meander down at the lake edge.

Even hidden behind the cloudbank the moon still cast enough light to lend a surreal quality to Draco's surroundings. He made note of how different everything looked. He was so calmed by the view that he was startled to hear faint splashing sounds coming from up ahead of him. 'It can't be the giant squid,' he thought, 'it's always asleep by now.' He changed his pace so that he could approach the spot unobserved. That's when he saw her splashing up out of the water. Finding a large tree to hide behind he made his way as close as he dared get to the bathing figure. The semi-darkness didn't afford him much of a view but he could make out much of the large detail without any trouble. 'I think it's a nymph,' Draco realized, 'I didn't know we had a nymph on the Hogwarts grounds.' After a few moments of thinking about it he figured that she hadn't been seen before because nymphs were notoriously shy about showing themselves, especially when there were hordes of hormone-crazed teenaged boys around. He glanced back at the figure. The little bit of light allowed him to see that her hair was long, at least half-way down her back if not all the way to her waist. And she had more curves than he had ever thought a woman could have. He continued his slow cataloging of her assets. Long, long legs that looked to have been made for wrapping around a body in ecstasy. A nice trim waist that he was pretty sure he could span with his hands. Hips that looked like they would swing in the most delectable way. A set of nice firm breasts with taut nipples that he was sure would taste like honey.

Leaning against the tree, Draco bit back a groan. He was most defiantly not expecting to find this when he had decided to go for a walk. Just then the moon finally emerged from behind its cloud cover illuminating the area quite well. When he turned to look at the bathing beauty he realized that the long hair was a very familiar shade of red. That's when it hit him. The beautiful vision he'd been spying on wasn't a nymph, it was Ginny Weasley! He watched fascinated as she ran her fingers through her wet hair. 'God, I bet it would feel like silk to do that,' he thought, then he blinked, 'no, I did not just think that, did I? But all the same I think she would feel like heaven, running my hands all over her skin. Finding out what kinds of noises she would make.' Draco broke off that train of thought in a hurry. Draco leaned his head back onto the tree he was hiding behind. 'This is not a good thing,' Draco thought. 'I am not thinking about Weasley in that way.' He punctuated his thoughts with occasional thuds of the back of his head against the tree.

Small splashing sounds brought his attention back to the swimmer. Looking around the tree, he saw that Ginny had climbed back out of the water and was wringing her hair out. He took the opportunity she presented to rake his gaze back over her body. It was quite obvious now that Ginny had definitely developed into a striking young woman. 'I wonder if those freckles of hers are all over her body,' came the unbidden thought, 'kissing each and every one, finding all those spots that would leave her breathless....' Draco spun around to the protection of the tree and knocked his forehead on the tree. The sight of her had definitely caused his pants to become tight and uncomfortable. 'No, I am not going to go there,' he snarled at himself, 'this is Weasley, my father would kill me if he knew.' Draco groaned; his head might be trying to be rational but his body definitely had a MUCH different idea. After a couple of minutes Draco realized that Ginny had finished dressing and was headed back to the castle. Once she was out of sight he turned his back to the tree and slid to the ground until his head was pillowed on his drawn up knees. He knew he was not going to get to sleep now. 'So much for a relaxing stroll to clear my head' he thought. This was going to be a long night.
