...
There was a light tapping at Ginny's dorm door.
She grunted, sitting up, and looking at the clock on her nightstand. "Not the time for visiters" It read.
She slipped out of bed and over to the door, and opened it.
"Ron!" She exclaimed.
Her brother was standing there, in his pajamas, his hair mussed.
"Ginny, I know." He said, and that was all he had to say.
Ginny gasped, and took a step back. "I.. I don't know what to say..." She said, looking at her feet. "How'd you find out? Did Harry or Hermione tell you?" She asked.
Ron shook his head. "... Lavender overheard you..." He said, softly. Ginny's eyes went wide with horror.
"But now it'll be all over school!" She exclaimed.
Ron shook his head fervently. "No!"
"She promised not tell anybody." He explained.
Ginny inhaled slowly. "So... are you mad?" She asked, and Ron sighed.
"I'm a little ticked off that you weren't a bit more responsible, and that you didn't take precautions. But these past few days, I've really come to see and understand that you truly love Malfoy. And so, I'm.. I'm happy for you." He stated, cautiously.
Ginny broke into a beaming smile. "Thank you, Ron." She said, and hugged her brother.
Ron drew back from the embrace with a serious expression upon his face. "You have to tell Mum and Dad. The sooner the better. Don't procrastinate."
Ginny's face fell. "I know... just give me some time so that I know what to say to them." She said, and Ron nodded.
"All right. You need some rest.. night." Ron left, closing the door behind him.
He crept down the hall, and paused outside of Hermione, Parvati, and Lavender's dorm. He pushed the door open a crack, and peeked inside, stealing a glance of Lavender sleeping.
Her face was tilted to the right, her blond hair spread out softly on the pillow, the moonlight creeping in from the window illuminated her face, and Ron was positive she was glowing.
He smiled to himself, and then returned to his dorm.
...
The next morning at breakfast, the Great Hall was alive with chattering students, eager to get back to their normal, if you can call being a wizard normal, routine of life.
At the teachers table, Minerva and Serverus were arguing about some teacher issue. They were being loud and rowdy, each vehemently disagreeing with the other.
Dumbledore was beaming, and seemed to be in better health than ever, which, albeit a drastic change from his recent countenance, everyone was grateful for.
The only one not looking happy was Sartana Pince, who sat in a corner of the hall, poking at her food. Sartana wasn't happy. She never really was, but many times there was a painful reminder that her true love had turned evil and was never coming back would bring her even more down.
It was hard to love a villian, especially when you knew that it was the same person who had held you close, whispering sweet nothings in your ear. It hurt Sartana whenever Voldemort did something terrible, it kept twisting the knife in her heart, rubbing salt in the wound, reminding her that evil had overcome her past lover.
When Tom Riddle came to Hogwart's, there was always something bad about him. He was in Slytherin, and put others down. Yet somehow, he had always had some good in him. Sartana knew this, she discovered that good, and brought it further out with her love.
Tom had loved her, he had said so himself. They were deeply in love, and were constantly being caught snogging in the halls, or performing some lewd act in classes.
But something happened.
Something even Sartana couldn't explain, and perhaps not even Tom could. He changed drastically in his 7th year, becoming more and more evil and cruel, until he drove even Sartana away. She remembered his last words to her after graduation, and each time she recalled them they stung just as bad as the first time he uttered them.
"Stay away from me, Sartana, even you can't help me now."
She desperately didn't want to believe it, and she remembered screaming no at him, but he'd left, left Hogwart's and her forever. At times like this, when Voldemort wreaked havoc in the wizarding world, she told herself that it wasn't her Tom, it couldn't be.
Voldemort and Tom Riddle were two very different people in her eyes. She loved Tom, and that love would never die. She hated Voldemort, she hated him for taking Tom away from her.
But when Sartana was faced with the fact that Tom was Voldemort, it killed her. She died everyday, from the pain her heart went through.
No one could possibly understand her feelings. She was faced with two incredible emotions, love and hate, two emotions that one couldn't believe someone could have for the same person.
But it remained. She loved Tom, she hated Voldemort.
If she could just speak to him now, just look him in the eyes, touch his hand, she knew she could break Voldemort's spell on Tom. She knew that if only she could confront him, she could destroy the hatred and evil, and that Tom would come back to her.
But Madame Pince was just a librarian. Librarians don't confront evil villians. They left that to the boys who've lived.
Madame Pince put her head in hands and sobbed.
...
At the Gryffindor table, Harry noticed Ron wasn't eating.
"What's the matter, mate?" He asked. Ron looked up, startled. "Huh? What?"
"You aren't eating." Harry said, pointing at Ron's full plate.
Ron twitched his nose. "I'm not really hungry..."
Harry and Hermione exchanged startled glances.
"Ron Weasley?? Not hungry?!!" Hermione exclaimed. "Stop the presses! Inform the media!!"
He glared at her, but sighed. "I dunno. I've got lots on my mind... is Ginny sitting with Draco again?"
Hermione nodded.
"... I wonder if she's owled Mum and Da yet..." Ron pondered.
Hermione half smiled. "Probably not.. give her a few days."
Harry nodded, and under the table he squeezed Hermione's hand. "Herm's right," He said, turning to Ron. "give her some time."
Ron sighed, and couldn't help stealing a glance at Lavender, who was sitting a few chairs down. She caught his eye and gave a little smile. Ron felt his ears turn pink and he turned back to his eggs.
Breakfast finished and the students were dismissed to classes.
...
Ginny chewed the tip of her quill, as she stared at the Potion's test. She'd finished, and was checking it over again for mistakes.
She recognized a question about the herb Dhaktalus and smiled as she remembered the scene with Draco.
Turning the test face down, she dipped her quill in the inkpot, and began thinking hard. She took out a piece of parchment and furrowed her brow.
Maybe if she stared at the paper long enough it would write the owl itself.
No such luck. She sighed, and then began pouring out her heart to her mother.
"Dearest Mum and Dad,
"I miss you both terribly here at Hogwart's. I'm sure you've heard of the recent events, and you'll be relieved to know that I'm fine, just a bit shook up. Ron had a twisted ankle from a fall but is better now.
"Mummy, you know how when I was younger you used to tell me stories about knights in shining armor and princesses falling in love? Well... I've found my knight.
"I know you're probably rolling your eyes right now, thinking that it's another silly crush, like the one I had on Harry or like the little teensy incident with Neville... but, this is different. I love this boy very much, with all my heart.
"Mum, Dad, the boy has asked me to be his wife. I've agreed. Before you start with the whole 'rushing into things' lecture, there's something else. I'm having his child.
"I understand that you're angry with me, and you have every right to be angry with me. I'm angry with myself. I should have been more careful. But please, don't be too angry with me. Please forgive me for being so neglectful.
"I suppose you're wondering who the boy is, and I'm afraid that you won't be too happy with the answer. I want you to promise to me now that you won't drive us away, what we share is love, a deep, true, and pure love, and I know that you too can learn to love him as well.
"The father of my child and my fiance is Draco Malfoy. Please, Dad, Mum, love him as I do, he's changed, he truly has. His father is dead, so he's inherited the Malfoy fortune. He says now his mother can't stop us from marrying.
"Nothing can stop me from marrying the man I love, but please, I'm praying for your blessing. Please, it's very important to me. We will visit soon,
"Your loving daughter, Virginia."
Ginny stared at the owl long and hard, reading it over and over again.
Someone cleared their throat, and Ginny's head snapped up in surprise.
"Miss Weasley, the class is over." Professor Snape said.
"Oh..." Ginny said, and she gathered her things up. Running out the door, she checked her watch. If she hurried, she could owl it before her next class.
Snape watched her run off, and he picked the test off her desk gingerly.
Looking over it, he was pleased to find she was doing much better than before. He let a smile play across his lips for a moment, before sighing and preparing for the next class.
(a/n: i dunno, but i smile each time i read/type the words "draco malfoy is the father of my child" or something of the like.... hee. i dunno why, but the song "uh-huh" by b2k is stuck in my head this week... i keep hearing the part "we can walk through the mall while i hold your hips, and you hang off the drop while im pushin the whip.." ... *blink blink* uh huh...)
...
Roaming hands, hot, hurried snogs - this was the janitor's broom closet.
It was currently being occupied by a Harry Potter and a Hermione Granger.
He kissed her violently, bruising her already swollen lips. Their mouths moved fervently against each other's. His tongue asked entrance of her mouth and it was welcomed warmly. Harry's hands gripped Hermione around the waist, and he began to pull her shirt out of her skirt, where it had been tucked neatly.
They paused for ragged breaths, but immediately resumed snogging the next moment, and her hands moved smoothly across his chest, fiddling with the tie around his neck, and she frowned through the kiss, as she fumbled with it, tugging at it blindly.
He smiled against her lips, and pulled it off himself. With the tie out of the way she ripped open his shirt, a button or two being torn off in the process. She slid the shirt down and out of the way. Harry's mouth left a trail of light kisses behind him as he made his way down the length of her neck.
He paused at one paticular spot, where he suckled and teased it, so she would be sure to remember this incident. As he did so, his hands undid her buttons gently, and opened her her shirt, exposing her bra-clad chest to the air.
She shivered, and wrapped her arms around his neck, pushing herself up against him, the shock of skin against skin electrocuting their senses, blinding them temporarily.
Her hand traveled to his pants...
(a/n: cue porno music... O.o)
Harry let out a little groan, but grabbed her hand, pulling it away. Hermione looked at him, her eyes questioning his actions.
"Love, we've still got to attend 3 more classes." He argued, and she pouted.
"We can skip them for once..." She said, still breathing irregularly. Hermione leaned in again.
Harry leaned back, out of her reach. "Hermione Granger, skipping class?" He exclaimed. "Stop the presses, inform the media!" He said, and laughed a bit at the pouty expression on her face.
"Harry... don't tease..." She said, softly, and Harry smiled, and kissed her, his mouth opening her lips and sliding in his tongue.
He drew back, his face flushed. "All right, but only this once..." He agreed, and they kissed again.
The door opened, and Filch turned purple and shrieked like a little girl.
Hermione screamed, grabbing her shirt and pulling it around her to cover herself. Harry hollered, grabbing his shirt and Hermione's hand, pulling her out of the closet.
They were greeted by about 20 students in the hallway, and they all stopped and stared.
Hermione and Harry looked back at them, wide-eyed, pink with embarrassment.
They ran away.
The traffic in the hallway started moving again, but two Hufflepuffs remained - Donnie and Daniela*. "I have that exact same bra." Daniela stated.
Donnie raised an eyebrow. "Oh?" He asked demurely, looking at her curiously.
....
Ron trudged along, making his way to Transfiguration. His thoughts dwelled on Lavender, as was the usual lately.
Said girl stepped out in front of him, smiling brightly.
He did a double take. "Where'd you come from?" He asked, in astonishment. It was a gift she had - popping out of nowhere; not that he was complaining, or anything.
Lavender smiled. "If you were paying less attention to the floor you would've seen me turn the corner." She teased, her blue eyes shining.
Ron smirked.
"Yeah, I suppose..." He said, trying to keep from staring at her. "... what's up?" He asked.
She shrugged.
There was an awkward silence for a few moments, as they looked at each other uncomfortably.
Lavender cleared her throat. "Ron, I was wondering what you were planning on doing for Christmas break? I mean, it starts this coming week and all.." She asked.
Ron looked at her in surprise. "I... I don't know. I haven't been thinking about it, I guess." He confessed, and she smiled coyly.
"Well, then... why don't you spend some time with me?" She asked.
Ron stared at her.
"My parents have a beach house that we use in the summer, but it's also great in the winter time... I'm sure they would let us stay there... if that's okay with you and all..." She added, a mischevious glimmer in her eye.
"... I'd love to!" He exclaimed, beaming.
Lavender lit up as well, smiling widely. "Great! So, be packed by Monday?" She asked, and he nodded exuberantly.
She hung around an extra moment.
Ron figured it was now or never, and placed his hand on hers. She turned a pretty shade of pink. He pulled her into him, and, pressing his forehead against hers, kissed her.
The kiss was soft and sweet, unlike any other kisses Lavender had experienced.
He gently wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her close as their kiss deepened. She brought her hands up to his chest, and then snaked her arm around his neck, tangling her fingers in his fiery hair.
"Skank!" Someone shrieked.
Lavender pulled away from the kiss, surprised, and turned around.
Some random Ravenclaw girl stood there, hands on her hips.
Lavender gasped. "Cheryl! How dare you interrupt me, you ho!" She yelled at the girl, narrowing her eyes.
Cheryl** sneered. "Shut up! You're the one snogging in the middle of the hall. If that doesn't prove my point that you're a slut, then I don't know what does!" She exclaimed.
Lavender brandished her wand. "You want to duel, bitch, I'll duel you!"
Ron stood to the side, feeling a little awkward and very confused.
"Shut your face and save your teeth, bitch! Drop the wand, let's battle the way God intended!" The Ravenclaw yelled back.
Lavender growled, and dropped her wand with a -clatter-. She and the girl shrieked and ran at each other, catching one another's hair and screaming.
"CATFIGHT!!!!!!!!" A nearby Slytherin hollered.
...
Draco sauntered out of Potions, a satisfied smirk upon his face. He'd just received the highest score in the class on his test, and it was Friday, which meant two things. He had tutoring with Ginny, and the weekend was on the way.
He also had the next 3 weeks off for Christmas vacation, he realized. The smirk grew bigger.
"Draco!" Ginny called out, behind him.
He turned around, and smiled warmly at her, as she reached his side.
Draco gave a kiss for hello. "Hey, love... have you owled your parents?" He asked, and she nodded.
"I told them we'd visit for Christmas." She said.
Draco frowned, as they started off for the Great Hall.
"I told my mum we'd visit for Christmas..." He said. Ginny raised an eyebrow.
"Well then, we'll visit my parents first and then your mother after that." She said, as if that settled the matter.
Draco snorted. "You do know that she's going to be your mother-in-law, right?" He teased.
Ginny wrinkled her nose. "Well you're stuck with my parents." She said, giggling.
Draco smiled slyly, stopping and pulling her close. He nuzzled her face.
Ginny revelled in his scent, cool like peppermint and ice. She let out a little moan and kissed him hungrily.
"Where are we going to live when we marry?" She asked, wistfully. He ran a hand through her blazing locks of aubern hair.
"Well... Malfoy Manor." He answered, kissing her forehead.
Ginny feigned disgust. "With your mother?" She asked, raising a delicate eyebrow.
"I'll buy her a cottage somewhere..." He said, casually. He dove down, to kiss the milky skin of her neck. She smiled dreamily, closing her eyes in content.
"It's a plan..." She said, and the lovers embraced.
