A/N: On with Chapter Four. Hope you all like it. Chapter Three was a great disappointment. Maybe this chapter can make up for it. Reviews greatly appreciated. Thanks section below for EVERYONE who reviewed the last three chapters.
Take care my dear
for he is here
Death and coldness
he holds dear
And use your hope
for the fight
Since you cannot defeat darkness
only balance with light
After several questioning individuals and a couple of memory charms, (This was only a dream after all. It wasn't as if they were the real Founders.) We got a chance to sneak out of the ballroom and into the deserted palace gardens.
Malfoy didn't hide his anger anymore like he had done for the last couple of hours, but openly shown it. His silvery gray eyes burned with hatred and loathing as he watched me fidget with the tassels of my dress, nervous of his stare and worried about the situation.
I started to ignore him and focus more on the scenery around me. It was a beautiful night with a blue moon and shining stars up above. The cold didn't bother me because of my thick dress, but the wind mussed up my elaborate hairstyle. I swept my hair away from my eyes and spotted a trail leading off in the distance. I had nothing else to do besides withstanding Malfoy’s glares. I began to walk the stone path but Malfoy noticed this, however, and took hold of my arm.
"And just where do you think you're going?" he sneered with utmost distaste. He was probably cringing inwardly with just touching my arm.
I pulled my arm out of his strong grip and continued to walk, hoping he would get the idea and leave me alone. Daft as he was, he didn't.
He jogged up to me and whispered harshly, "I bet you know a way out of here and you just want to leave me behind!"
"I would do no such thing! But you're right about one thing; I am trying to leave you behind. I need some peace and I'm not up for you constantly glaring at me like I'm one of the vilest human beings alive. Save that for your Lord Voldemort!"
He gazed at me questioningly, "My Lord Voldemort? And what exactly is that supposed to mean?" His eyes steady on mine.
I in turn sighed in frustration, "I overheard my brother and his two best friends discussing about who were death eaters. Guess whose father is one?"
Malfoy grumbled something incoherently as he shoved his pale hands deep into his pockets and walked faster ahead. He ignored my confused yet surprised face, or my several attempts of an apology. He was far ahead of me now and barely visible with only the moon to light my path.
I trudged on, trying my best not to lose sight of him. As I got closer though, he had seemed to stop. His head was looking towards something to the left. Whatever it was, it had held him in place and seemingly captivated him. I was by his side but he took no notice of me. He continued to stare at the object of his attention. Curious myself, I peeped past his figure and cried out in delight.
It was a shimmering lake reflecting the night sky, but that wasn’t what held our attention. There were roses everywhere! Rose petals and the roses themselves littered the surface of the calm lake, making it to be like potpourri; smelling sweetly of the roses’ scent. Rose bushes were scattered within the large, ivy-covered walls. And where there was none, there would be a rose tree. I knew this was all a dream, but even I know that I could never come up with something so breath taking.
"Come on," Malfoy whispered, still in awe as he tugged at my sleeve. This time, I let him lead me. I too wanted to take a closer look at the rose garden.
We walked through the stoned path and carefully made our way into the wild rose garden. All my worries were temporarily forgotten. I ignored the fact that I was stuck in my dream with the one person I loathed.
Standing by the water's edge, we gazed at it in wonder. The air here was still, making the secluded garden warm. Without much thought, I began to undo the many buttons and laces of my dress. Malfoy seemed to have the same idea as he removed his shirt, revealing his smooth pale skin. I took off my gown, leaving me with only my chemise. There was a sense of a long forgotten longing within our two souls. We needed to reach the water, as well as each other. And the feeling felt so familiar that it shook my very essence.
I never saw this lake before, so why was it that I somehow know all there is to see in this mysterious rose garden.

Ron and Hermione stormed into the hospital wing, eyes both filled with anger and concern. Madame Pomfrey tried her best to shoo them away but they didn’t budge.
"What seems to be the problem here Poppy?" asked Headmaster Dumbledore as he stepped out from a rarely used room.
Ron ran past Dumbledore and reached for the doorknob. "Is this where you’re keeping her? I need to see that silly girl right away! Imagine, putting on an unknown ring like that. This is just like that other incident back in 2nd Year. She should’ve known better than to write into a foreign book!"
Just as he was about to turn it, Dumbledore held him back. "Sorry Mister Weasley, but you may not see your sister at this time."
"And why not exactly? He's her brother and I'm one of her few friends." she said snootily.
"That’s because my son is in there." A woman said calmly as she stepped into the room looking very fashionable indeed. Her satiny robes twirled around her long legs as she bypassed Dumbledore and quickly entered the room, making sure to lock it once she was in.
"Um, who was that?" Ron asked, unsure of what just occurred.
Dumbledore smiled at the two of them merrily, "That was just Mrs. Malfoy. She was a very bright Ravenclaw from what I remembered. One of the best healers in England."
"She doesn't look smart." Hermione mumbled, jealous by the fact someone could actually be smart, as well as beautiful.
Madame Pomfrey, who had stayed silent for the past several minutes, spoke up once again, "Shoo now! Both of you! We'll let you two know when you may see Miss Weasley."
"Fine," Hermione said as she dragged Ron towards the exit, "But that better be soon."
"Don't mind her," Ron said, attempting to excuse her rude behavior, "It’s her time of month ya know." He blushed as he said this and quickly left.
Dumbledore sighed with relief once they were gone. Madame Pomfrey noticed this and smiled slightly. She stood in front of the locked door and knocked. The door quickly opened with Mrs. Malfoy ushering them in.
Mrs. Malfoy sat down by her sleeping son and held his hand tightly. She seemed to ignore the other figure across the room. All that was important to her was that her son would be okay.
"Do you have any clue whatsoever to get them out of this state of unconsciousness?" asked Madame Pomfrey as she fretted over Ginny, feeling her forehead and checking her pulse.
Mrs. Malfoy looked at the two adults in the room worriedly, "They seem to be in perfect health, but that is not what I'm worried about. If I'm not mistaken, there is a very powerful curse over that ring. From what I was told, only Miss Weasley and Draco were affected in such a way. But what scares me the most is that ring. I've seen that ring before..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was funny how we must've looked to the girl. Yes, there was a girl here, hidden behind some bushes. There we were, Draco and me, holding onto each other closely as if we were lovers. How I clung to his shoulders and he around my waist. But the most humorous fact about this scene was that we were standing in the middle of the lake, soaking wet under the moonlight, and surrounded by sweet scented roses. And weren't we supposed to hate each other?
My gown was still on the shore, right next to Draco's shirt and cloak. The girl picked up the dress and shook it, freeing the gown from any soil that it picked up. She did the same to Draco's white poet's shirt and placed it on her arms. Her eyes were questioning but she didn't voice those questions. Instead, she began to walk away, cloths still within her arms.
"Wait!" I yelled out to her as I splashed against the rose filled water and towards the bank.
Draco had an unusual smile on his face as he slowly waded through the icy river. He reached the stone steps and pulled out an ordinary looking stick out of his nearly forgotten cloak. A jet of silver light shot through the air and hit the girl in the back, immobilizing her.
"That's no fair." I said as he proudly walked towards the stationary woman, even if he was only half dressed and in front of two females around his age.
"What's not fair?" he asked, turning his neck to face me. He walked on and grabbed his shirt, as well as my green gown. He placed a chaste kiss on her cheek, making me feel a twinge of jealousy.
"It's not fair," I said as I tried my best not to stare at his silvery pools that he called eyes, "That you still have magic and I don't."
He gave me one of his famous smirks that would make any female simper. He tossed me my gown and began to put on his leather boots.
Once we were finally done and once more decent, except for the fact that we were still saturated with rose smelling water and freezing cold. Draco pulled me towards him, our bodies keeping each other warm. What had just occurred was odd to both him and me. Why else did I start calling him by his first name, and let him hold me so close? There was something about the rose garden that I was slightly aware of, but I don't know what of it.
Draco put a memory charm on the poor girl, and then took off the hex. She shook her head, as if trying to stay awake, and looked at the two of them. She noticed me however, and began to curtsy. I blushed by this action of power while Draco just rolled his eyes.
"Your Majesty, what are you doing here? It is late and scandalous to be with a man at this hour by yourself."
"Girl," Draco said to her rudely, "What is your duty at the palace?"
The girl looked at him oddly but answered, "I take care of the laundry My Lord."
Draco and I looked at each other and were soon guffawing in a very improper way. We caused so much commotion that another servant appeared, bewildered. "What is going on here?" the servant asked.
I played my role as princess and replied, "I was taking a midnight stroll with my fiancée. Next time, give more respect to the future queen and her king."
"Yes, you wouldn't want to be a *dead* servant, now would you?" Draco said smoothly. He received an elbow from me by his comment.
"Leave now. I must discuss future plans with my bride-to-be."
They nodded their heads and walked back towards the castle.
"Weasley." Draco said coolly with his cold gray eyes facing away from me.
"Malfoy." I answered, equally uncaring.
"What the hell just happened?"
I raised an eyebrow, "You think I know? I'm even trying to forget that I was within touching distance from you."
He glared and I glared back.
It seemed as if we were back (relationship wise) to the very beginning. I wouldn't be surprised if he started calling me names...
"You wish to leave." A placid voice whispered to us. The speaker, unseen, could be heard walking closer towards them. "I can help you there, but you need to help me first."
"This keeps on getting weirder and weirder." she heard Draco mutter to himself. But what did he expect? This was only a dream.
"Actually, it isn't. You were supposed to re-live a memory, one at a time. With you two being here at the same exact time, the spell changed, and now you are fully in control of the Princess and the Wizard."
"You read my thoughts." I said bluntly to thin air.
Draco began to pace back and forth, his eyes downcast and a firm frown cast upon his face. He held his wand tightly, in case the 'voice' was a dangerous figure and decided to attack.
"If I bring you back to your time, you must promise to re-live these events through a series of dreams. You must learn the truth for the sake of time."
Draco sneered once he heard this, "We can't leave unless we have that cursed ring. I'm pretty sure you don't have it."
They saw a shadow zoom past, and then a faint outline of a person. And on the ground in front of me was the blasted ring, taunting us by its beauty. It was as if the ring was there the whole entire time.
I picked it up carefully and was about to place it on my finger when Draco swatted it away. The ring rolled across the path and stopped in midway by several shrubs. Draco was snarling at me, his face contorted with anger.
"Are you crazy Weasley? You are NOT putting that ring on again!" Draco fumed as I ignored his banter and gathered the fallen ring. I held it in the palm of my hand instead.
"So how do we get home if I don't put this ring on?" I asked.
Draco shrugged, "Ask that voice person."
"Why don't you?" I replied back hotly.
He snatched the ring and began to shiver. He grabbed hold of my left hand and shoved the ring on my finger. Just a second ago, he said not to put on the ring. As soon as he did this action however, red and green lights surrounded them like a giant bubble and transported them back to the present.
